Drop the Kids off at Sci-Quest and Enjoy an Evening Out
(Ages 4 – 15 years)
Every First Saturday and Third Friday of Each Month*
6-10 p.m.
Drop off begins at 5:30 p.m.
Give the babysitter a break and drop the kids off at Sci-Quest for a safe night full of fun! Children will enjoy:
- Pizza dinner
- Hands-on activities (different science themes each month, see below)
- Movies
- Play time on the exhibit floor
Cost is $23 for the first child and $18 for each additional child. Sci-Quest Members receive a 10 percent discount.
Please Note: Advance reservations encouraged. Registrations and walk-ins after 3 p.m. on the day of event are subject to availability due to staffing and supplies.
*Some dates may differ due to holidays and Sci-Quest events.
Dates and Monthly Themes
In December, Parents’ Night Out will be offered EVERY Friday in conjunction with our Science of the Holidays family festivities. Each week, children will experience the holidays with a dash of science with hands-on activities and holiday themed labs – all while you enjoy an evening out or shop till you drop!

Ages 4-6: Polar Explorers Brr! It’s cold out there, but why don’t penguins and polar bears mind? Find out how as you these arctic animals and discover how they survive the coldest places on the planet. No mittens required!
Ages 7-10: Warm and Fuzzy Frigid cold and blistering winds fight the frost with science! Children will learn basic measuring, graphing, and compare conductors and insulators. Also, in the spirit of the giving season, make a warm fuzzy to share with all your friends.
Ages 11+: Crystal Chemistry Children will begin their study of crystals by determining that crystals are repeating structures, identifying the different shapes of crystals that occur naturally and explain why crystals have different shapes
Program Registration & Cancelation
- Participants must be pre-registered for all programs. Registration on the day of the program may be allowed only if space and supplies are available.
- No refunds will be given to participants who do not attend their scheduled program without prior notice as outlined below.
- All cancelations must be received 2 weeks in advance for camps and 2 business days in advance for single day programs to receive a refund, less a 20% administrative fee per camp/class. Single programs include single day public programs, Home School Science, Sprouting Scientists, Parents’ Night Out and Camp Care. A customer may choose to receive credit for a future class instead of a refund.
- Cancelations less than 2 weeks of a scheduled camp will be provided credit for a future program
- Cancelations less than 2 business days for any registered program will not receive a refund or future credit.
- Sci-Quest reserves the right to cancel any program if a minimum number of participants are not registered. If this happens, another class option or 100% of registration fees will be refunded.
