Classical Conversations

Home School Science
2015-2016 School Year

Sci-Quest is excited to be partnering with Classical Conversations home school groups to create coordinated programming throughout the 2015-2016 school year. These programs are specifically designed to go with the Classical Conversations curriculum, but are open to anyone who wants to participate. Using a hands-on inquiry approach, take home crafts and extension activities, these programs are an excellent reinforcement of concepts learned during the year.

Life is all around us, but how do scientists classify and relate them to one another? In this program, children will be introduced to the building blocks of the study of life science, including classification systems and cell theory. Children will learn how to use a dichotomous key, create a model of plant and animal cell, and use a microscope to see their own cells up close.
