Super Cells

Cells are like little machines working hard in our bodies. Discover the parts of a cell in a way your students are sure to remember using iPad™ technology. Students will even build a compact cell model to take home. This program will enhance your educational experience with the “Cells: Life in a Pond” exhibit sponsored by NASA and HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology.

Crystal Chemistry

Pop IT Up
Length: 30 minutes
Cost: $3 per student
Your students will put their engineering design skills to the test as they to get into a sticky situation. They will plan, design, test and redesign a contraption that will launch ping pong balls onto a trap with only a “Minute to Win It”.

Dissection Lab
Length: 60 minutes
Cost: $11 per student
Want to do a dissection, but don’t want your classroom to be smelly for weeks? Come to Sci-Quest and let us do it for you! In small groups of three or four, students will get up close and personal with the inner anatomy of animals. Choose from a shark, frog or starfish. Due to an increase in the cost of supplies, this program is $11.00

Electricity Grows on Trees
Length: 45 minutes

Create amps from apples and power from pickles. Discover how food can create electricity and how this technology can be used for green power! Students will even construct a portable electric circuit to take home.
